Yunus Social Business Centre (YSBC) is a hub for social business that follows the principles of Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus with the aim to empower individuals to identify problems and create self-sustaining business solutions that will have social impact.
According to Muhammad Yunus Social Business is “A business: Created and Designed to address a Social Problem.
Yunus Centre aims to promote the UN Millenial Development Goals in Bangladesh and around the world.
In past 10 years, they have managed to touch more than 17.9 Mn lives, provided employment opportunities to 1.3 Mn people, and evaded 5 Tons of carbon emissions in India, East Africa, and Latin America along with planting 2.2+ Mn. Trees since 2019.
YSBCs today collaborates with universities across the globe with the sole objective of spreading the awareness about the significance of social business.
For the year 2022, BIMTECH had the privilege to host the Social Business Day at their Greater Noida Campus from June 28th – 29th.
The event highlighted the core value of ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’ i.e., collaborative thinking and people centred approach. Distinguished dignitaries like Urvashi Sahani, CEO Shef India, Nazneen Sultana, MD Grameen Communications, Yunus Centre, Bangladesh, Dr. Nisha Pandey, Chairperson of Yunus Social Business Centre, Vivekanand Education Society, Mumbai along with the Director of BIMTECH Dr. H. Chaturvedi illuminated the event.
